Attention C-suite, business development, admissions, and marketing professionals: Is this your first time attending West Coast Symposium? Are you new to the field? Are you in a new position in your organization? Are you interested in having a peer mentor? If so, the West Coast Symposium is launching a Peer Mentoring Program to promote collaboration and conference best practices to enhance your onsite experience. Participants will:

  • Have personal time with a mentor who is a well-seasoned professional in the field

  • Be introduced to fellow conference attendees who match their professional interests

  • Learn best practices and ethical behavior for promoting addiction treatment

  • Continue business discussions after the conference

The Peer Mentoring Program is managed by Jaywalker Lodge, in conjunction with the West Coast Symposium. KC Gooding, Jaywalker Lodge Chief Marketing Officer, is responsible for mentee-mentor arrangements and facilitating the experience. Any questions about the Peer Mentoring Program should be directed to KC at 949-877-6517 or kgooding@jaywalkerlodge.com

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

The Peer Mentoring Program is limited to the first 80 qualified participants. Participants must be in a C-suite, business development, admissions, or marketing role, and they must be registered for the West Coast Symposium. Participants will be guided by 20 industry leaders/mentors who have already been selected for the program.

In addition, participants must agree to take part in the following:

  • Attend an onsite meeting on Wednesday, May 31, from 5:00-6:00 PM at the La Quinta Resort to be matched with their peer mentor.

  • Attend the opening of the Exhibit Hall beginning at 8:30 AM on Thursday, June 1, in which mentors and mentees in small groups will navigate the hall. Mentors will make introductions and answer questions. This mentoring period will last until 11:00 AM, but participants are welcome to participate as their schedules allow.

The West Coast Symposium reserves the right to approve or deny participation of any conference attendee at any time, and all conference fees must be paid in order to participate.
